TEDx MC
Two days ago, I had the honor of being an MC for the TedX Youth event taking place on the beautiful Granville Island. It was a great experience getting back to public speaking in front of a large audience. The event as a whole went smoothly and I had a lot of fun working with everyone on the team!

Rehearsal/meetings
Of course for an event to be successful, there needs to be meetings prior to the event. Fortunately I had time to attend some of the meetings so I could get a grasp of the overall appearance of the stage as well as the backstage.
On June 23 (3 days ago), we had our final rehearsal for all speakers and MCs. This was my first time running through the MC lines but everything went surprisingly well, which was great! All the speaker did good too so we were all pretty confident in the success of the official event, which would be the day after.
Poster design
I also designed a poster to put up around my school to let more people know about this event and invite my teachers and classmates to listen to the speeches.

I’m so glad this event was a success and I’m so happy to be doing public speaking again after quite a while of not taking the stage. I learned a lot from the speakers and my MC partner. It was so fun connecting with everyone on the executive team and I’m super grateful for this opportunity!!
